Danish Altar Candle - Wine

Alterlyset began in 1950 when Jens Andreas Dahl Hansen founded the candle factory Hygge Lys in Copenhagen. He designed a sculptural, timeless candle that did not require a candle stick and could be placed directly on the table or floor. It immediately took off and he became a leading supplier of candles to Danish churches. In 2015 he launched Hyggelyset and shifted the iconic design into a range of natural colours. They are cast manually, processed by hand and each is made from 100% RSPO-certified vegetable stearin. H - 37cm Burn time approx 35 hours
