An elegant and vibrant hand-woven rug from Linie Design. Inspired by the graphic language of traditional Japanese wave illustrations, Tidal Waves distils motion into threads, tension, and tactility. Here, the surge is softened – not the crash of a wave, but the quiet moment just after. Lines ripple gently across the surface, like wind brushing water. Each mark is restrained and deliberate – controlled, yet never rigid. The natural palette evokes sand, stone, and seafoam, grounding the composition in earthy calm. This is a minimalist reflection on movement, memory, and the sea – as if water left its trace not on paper, but in wool. Tidal Waves hums with gentle momentum. A woven rhythm felt more than seen. Made by skilled hands from soft New Zealand wool, this rug brings enduring warmth and ambiance to any room in the home. Hand-crafted by Linie Design’s artisan weavers, designed by Norm Architects.

Variations in colour and texture can arise between batches of yarn and dye baths.

Irregularities may occur as a result of the handmade process.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Regular cleaning by vacuuming. Do not vacuum with the bruch head out. We advise against any use of vacuum cleaners with rotating brushes, as these may damage the rug. The rug should be flat-washed by a professional rug cleaning company. Most new rugs will lose wool which is completely normal. Excess wool should be removed from the rug as it appears. Please note that the colours may fade if the rug is exposed to strong sunlight for an extended period.
