All spices and herbs are oily. We recommend that you frequently clean your product by grinding some coarse salt. For a more thorough clean you can unscrew the grey adjusting wheel and take out the ceramic cone and clean in hot water. Make sure that the cone is completely dry before mounting and grinding again. Let it dry for at least 24 hours
